I have been commissioned by Haw Hiking Company (Haw Hiking Co), a local RDU North Carolina hiking company based near Saxapahaw, to create their new social media campaign for the end-of-winter sale. Haw Hiking Co specializes in equipment for hiking in the North Carolina Piedmont area. Haw Hiking Company targets local hikers aged 25-45 in RDU who are budget-conscious outdoor enthusiasts seeking quality equipment while supporting a community business

Notice Ads

Starting off the campaign, the notice ads were some of the first ads developed for the Haw Hiking company. Using their basic stamp-like looks, they acted as the start and the brand guide for the project as a whole.

Their role as notice ads was made with readability and viewer attention rates in mind. If the viewer took any time at all out of their day on social media to look at these ads, and consider a product shown, it is a success!

Compare and Contrast

These compare and contrast ads were made with user interaction in mind. Normally, a store would try to sell every single product they have on sale, but by showing the pros and cons for each item to the viewer, it gives a sense of authenticity that they wouldn't normally get at other stores.

Overall, their design is made to have the viewer look at the sale at Haw Hiking Company as more than just a regular store sale, but an offer to purchase from their selections of goods that are on sale that the store trusts enough to lay all of the faults out bare.

Sale Poster

Finally, the in-store poster. This poster was made to be simple and readable. These ideas of readability are what led to the poster’s simple, stamp-like design to coincide with the logo.
